“My dad was adopted at a young age, so I was never
taught the “old ways” until I became a student at
Bacone University. There I learned traditional dance,
stomp dance, and native drum. Something always
seemed to be missing as I was growing up. When I
began learning about and practicing my people’s
history, I found the part that makes me whole. I
hope to stay on this path and follow the Red Road.”
